TVS has launched their first BS6 scooter Jupiter with new features and colour
TVS Motor Company yesterday announced their first BS6 product Apache RTR 200 4V and 160 4V. The Indian bike maker has now launched their first BS6 scooter, the TVS Jupiter Classic, which is priced at Rs. 67,911/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The bike maker has updated the engine top comply with the new BS6 emission norms and they call this engine technology as ET-Fi (Ecothrust Fuel injection) technology.
TVS claims that with the updated engine, the Jupiter delivers 15 percent better fuel efficiency than the BS4 model. The company hasn’t revealed the exact power figures for the BS6 engine yet but the BS4 109.7cc engine churns out 7.88 BHP and 8.4 Nm, which is expected to be more or less the same with the BS6 engine.
Along with this update, the Jupiter Classic now comes with a new Indiblue colour option. It gets a USB charger now in the front panel and mobile cubby space along with a tinted visor.
The Jupiter Classic BS6 is available with Sunlit Ivory and Autumn Brown colours as well. The TVS Jupiter Base, ZX and Grande editions will be updated with the BS6 engines in a phased manner.
