Second gen Evoque has been launched in India with BS6 compliant diesel & petrol engines.
New generation Range Rover Evoque has arrived in India. It is priced from Rs. 54.94 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the diesel S trim. It is available in two variants S and R-Dynamic SE and two engine options – 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel and petrol that comply with the latest BS6 emission norms. Diesel variant deliveries have already commenced while the petrol variant pricing will be announced soon.
In terms of styling, the new Evoque follows the latest Land Rover design language. The front profile looks inspired by the Range Rover Velar thanks to the sharp headlights, revised grille and sporty front bumper. The side profile retains the typical Evoque silhouette but comes with new flush door handles, new alloys and revised styling bits.
The rear profile will remind you of the previous gen Evoque. There are new LED tail lights, the tail gate design has been revised along with a new rear bumper design.
The interior looks fresh and falls in line with the latest models, loaded with new features. The dashboard layout is clean and looks futuristic with dual screens in the centre console.
The Touch Pro Duo infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Navigation, head-up display, remote-app for Android and Apple watches through which you can control the features of the car.
The interior gets fixed panoramic sunroof, split arm rest, ambient lighting, 360 degree parking aid, Meridian 380 W 10 speaker audio system with subwoofer, clear sight interior rear view monitor, matrix LED headlights etc.
In terms of safety it comes with dynamic stability control, ABS, EBD, traction control, cornering brake control, roll stability control, emergency brake assist, 6 airbags, ISOFIX, etc.
The D180 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder BS6 diesel engine produces 177 BHP at 4000 RPM and 430 Nm of torque at 1750-2500 RPM. It does 0-100 km/hr in 9.3 seconds while the top speed is 205 km/hr.
The P250 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder BS5 petrol engine produces 245 BHP at 5500 RPM and 365 Nm of torque at 1500-4500 RPM. It does 0-100 km/hr in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 230 km/hr.
Both the diesel and petrol engines come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and get all-wheel drive as standard.
The new Range Rover Evoque comes with Terrain Response 2 system that offers off-road features such as All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC), Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Low Traction Launch system.
