Nissan Kicks updated with BS6 engines including new 1.3-litre turbo petrol.
The updated Nissan Kicks has launched in India. Comes with a starting price of Rs. 9.50 lakhs for 1.5-litre petrol. The 1.3-litre turbo petrol is priced from Rs. 11.85 lakhs (ex-showroom).
These are introductory prices for the launch. Nissan will eventually increase the pricing further. There is no diesel on offers since it has not been updated to BS6.
The entry-level trims come with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It churns out 106 PS and 142 Nm torque. Available only with 5-speed manual gearbox. Compared to BS4 model, 1.5 petrol trim is Rs. 5000/- cheaper in BS6.
The much awaited 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine produces 156 PS and 254 Nm of torque. This engine is available with both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission options.
The Kicks 1.3-turbo is the most powerful car in its segment. Also, the pricing is significantly lower than its turbo rivals like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the 1.5-litre petrol returns 13.9 km/l and 1.3 turbo MT returns 15.8 km/l. Some of the key features include vehicle stability management system, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill start assist and cruise control.
The new Nissan Kicks is available in 6 monotone and 3 dual tone colour options. Monotone colours include Blade Silver, Night Shade, Bronze Grey, Fire Red, Pearl White and Deep Blue Pearl. Dual-tone colours are Bronze Grey with Amber Orange, Fire Red with Onyx Black and Pearl White with Onyx Black.
The Japanese carmaker is offering 2 years/50,000 kms standard warranty. It can be extended up to 5 years/,100,000 kms. Free Road-Side Assistance subscription for 2 years is available.
Nissan is also offering pre-paid maintenance service package starting at Rs.2099/- per year.
