Maruti has launched the updated version of the Ignis and it is priced from Rs. 4.89-7.20 lakhs.
The Maruti Ignis facelift was revealed at the 2020 Auto Expo and now the automaker has launched this vehicle. It comes with cosmetic changes, some updates to the interior and a BS6-compliant petrol engine. The Ignis was earlier available with a diesel engine too.
On the outside, the 2020 Maruti Ignis comes with a new grille, revised bumpers, higher ground clearance, rear spoiler, and roof rails. The vehicle is now available with two new colours – Lucent Orange and Turquoise Blue. The Ignis is also offered with three new dual-tone colours schemes – Nexa Blue with Black, Lucent Orange with Black, and Nexa Blue with Silver. The dual-tone colour options are available on the Zeta and Alpha variant at an additional Rs. 13,000/-.
The cabin of the Maruti Ignis facelift gets a dual-tone ivory colour theme with new seat fabric. The 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment now comes with the latest SmartPlay Studio UI and it has Apple CarPlay connectivity, Bluetooth, USB, Aux-IN, voice commands, etc.
Under the hood, the Maruti Ignis comes with the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine which is now BS6 compliant. It produces 83 PS at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm of torque at 4200 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed MT or an AMT. The AMT is available in all trims except the base Sigma.
Maruti is also offering two customisation packages for the Ignis – Scorcher and Acropolis.
