Camouflaged Jeep Wranglers have been spotted prowling in the streets of Pune.
Like the previous iterations, the Wrangler will be offered in two variants, a 2-door version and a 4-door version. We expect Jeep to launch the 4-door version in India and in 4 trims, namely, Sport, Sport S, Rubicon and Sahara. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler was spotted in Pune by MotorBeamer Karan Karnik.
The updated Wrangler has retained the boxy attire that it is famed for. The upcoming 2020 Mahindra Thar borrows some styling cues from the Wrangler. One car is seen to sport normal road tyres whereas the one in front seems to be riding on knobby tyres.
The car gets a spare wheel mounted at the rear without any wheel cover. The rims are 5-spoke alloys that add to the looks of the car. The Wrangler also gets wide wheel arches and a boxy stance that provides the all-terrain feel to it. At the rear, it gets small square-shaped LED tail lights and it also comes with fold-down windshield and soft and hard top options.
The new Jeep Wrangler is expected to come with a dual-tone dashboard offering a 5.0-inch, 7.0-inch or 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Uconnect system on the infotainment system will be smartphone compatible. Wrangler will also come with a twin-dial instrument cluster with either a 3.5-inch or 7.0-inch MID and a 3-spoke steering wheel with steering mounted controls.
In the US market, the Wrangler comes with 4 engine options, a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 270 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. A 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel mill that churns out 197 BHP and 450 Nm of torque. A 3.0-litre, V6 diesel that makes 240 BHP and 570 Nm of torque. A 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine that churns out 285 BHP and 353 Nm of torque. Engines are available with 8-speed AT and 6-speed MT options.
