The new Jaguar F-Type is expected to arrive in India in 2020.
After quite a hold-up, Jaguar Land Rover has officially revealed the 2020 F-Type facelift in an official video on Twitter. In a quirky take, the company first unveiled the car in the form of a Hot Wheels scale model with a 232 m long Hot Wheels orange track laid out around Jaguar Land Rover’s new Design Studio.
The 2020 Jaguar F-Type boasts of an evolved design with an aggressive front fascia that features a larger honeycomb mesh grille. The single-frame grille is flanked by slim LED headlights, revised front and rear bumpers with bigger intakes and a striking new clamshell bonnet. The LED taillights continue to feature the signature J-theme to not stray away from the distinctive design language of the supercar.
While the exterior has some drastic changes, the cabin is subtle and gets a new digital instrument console as well as a larger touchscreen infotainment system that runs the new InControl Touch Pro interface. Though the quality of materials and upholstery was never an issue, it has still improved over the predecessor.
The 2020 Jaguar F-Type is offered with a host of engine options- a 2-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 296 PS, as well as a 3-litre Supercharged V6 cranking 375 PS. The range-topping F-Type R is offered with the 5-litre Supercharged V8 that is offered in 444 PS and 567 PS options. The 567 PS version will be exclusively offered with an all-wheel drive. Jaguar claims that the 2020 F-Type can clock triple-digit-speed from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds.
It is expected that the new Jaguar F-Type will arrive in India some next year with a pricetag close to Rs. 1 crore.
