Jaguar has introduced the facelifted F-Type in India.
The Jaguar F-Type facelift has arrived in India with prices starting from Rs. 95.12 lakhs ranging up to Rs. 2.41 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in both coupe and convertible form with three engine options for both – 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol and 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol in two states of tune.
In terms of styling, the front profile has got substantial changes. It looks sharper than before with slim LED headlights, larger grille and sporty bumper.
The side profile looks very similar but gains new alloy wheels. The rear is more or less the same apart from the revised LED tail lights.
The interior too hasn’t got many changes but the colour tones are new adding a more luxurious touch with beige trim to the rather sporty character of the wild cat.
There is a new 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster which they call Interactive Driver Display. It comes with Navigation, 3D maps and custom display control.
There is an updated infotainment system on offer in line with the latest units in the Jaguar Land Rover lineup. It comes with Merdian sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. There’s also the connected car tech with Jaguar Remote App.
The new F-Type is equipped with more safety tech like Driver Condition Monitor, Lane Keep Assist and Park Assist.
There are three engines on offer – P300, P450 and P575. P300 is the entry-level 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 300 PS at 5500 RPM and 400 Nm torque at 1500-4500 RPM. It has a RWD layout with 0-100 km/hr timing of 5.7 seconds and top speed of 250 km/hr.
The P450 is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol motor producing 450 PS at 6000 RPM and 580 Nm at 2500-5000 RPM. It is a RWD drivetrain with a claimed 0-100 km/hr timing of 4.6 seconds and 285 km/hr top speed.
The P575 is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine producing 575 PS at 6500 RPM and 700 Nm of torque at 3500-5000 RPM. It gets an AWD layout and does 0-100 km/hr in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 300 km/hr.
The 2020 Jaguar F-Type facelift has been listed with 9 variants on offer in India. The deliveries are likely to commence post the lockdown period.
