The next-gen of Isuzu’s pickup truck, the D-Max, will make its debut on 19th October, 2019.
Isuzu has released a teaser video of the upcoming 2020 D-Max pickup truck. It seems that the next-generation has received a proper overhaul for this one.
The car still retains its beefy stance and impressions but is now even more pronounced. It gets a new pair of headlights with LED DRLs running across the lower half of the housing. The grille is all-new, with a silver skid plate also revealing its front parking sensors. Additionally, the fog-lamps and indicators are stacked vertically beside each other. At the rear, it features a new set of twin-pod tail lamps; the rest is still under disguise.
In merely a glimpse, the cabin definitely looks more upmarket and premium. The prominent circular centre console is now gone. It has AC vents flanking the infotainment system. The circular design is replaced with toggle switches for the air conditioning. Touching upon the infotainment system, it is probably going to come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
As Isuzu hasn’t revealed much of any sort, except the teaser, we reckon that the D-Max will be powered by the same powertrains in a different state of tune. Engines on duty can include a 1.9-litre twin-turbo diesel and a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel unit. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic mated to a 4×4 drivetrain as standard.
While it’s debuting on 19th October, it might be introduced in India as early as the start of 2020. The current-gen Isuzu D-max V-Cross ranges from Rs. 16,54,000/- lakhs to Rs. 19,99,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi).
