The new generation Hyundai i20 will feature an all-digital instrument cluster.
Digital instrument cluster is a new trend and it has got much better over a period of time. Skoda recently introduced Virtual Cockpit in some of their cars, the German luxury cars have some great ones too with different colours for different modes. Now, Hyundai will be offering an all-digital instrument cluster for the new gen i20.
The leaked image shows a blue and white instrument cluster which is all-digital. This looks similar to the one seen on the new generation Creta which will make its debut next year. The 2020 Hyundai i20 will be the first one to get this feature in this segment. The i20 too is expected to hit Indian roads next year.
The 2020 Hyundai i20 will also get the new BlueLink connected technology that made its debut in India with the Hyundai Venue. Some of the other features will include wireless charging, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, push-button start-stop, keyless entry, front and rear armrests and 6 airbags amongst others.
Hyundai is expected to offer a dual clutch automatic transmission with the new i20. We believe the engine options will be the same as the Hyundai Venue. The Korean carmaker will be offering a diesel engine option with the new i20. All the powertrains offered will get BS6 compliance when launched in India next year.
The new Hyundai i20 will compete against the likes of Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, upcoming Tata Altroz, Volkswagen Polo and the likes.
