The Hyundai Creta is also known as the ix25 in the Chinese market, gets a redesigned exterior along with a new interior.
Hyundai has unveiled the 2020 Creta in Shanghai Auto Show in China. The new vehicle is expected to launch in the 2020 Auto Expo. The 2020 Hyundai Creta revealed gets redesigned and options for new engines as well. The Creta unveiled in Shanghai is a 5-seater variant however, the company could also introduce a 7-seater option later. The Hyundai Creta is also known as the ix25 in the Chinese market. The first generation Hyundai Creta was also debuted in China in 2014 before its India launch in 2015.
The 2020 Hyundai Creta is bigger by length and width than before. The grille is finished in piano black and gets chrome surroundings which also holds a Hyundai logo. The vehicle also comes with a lot of chrome bits on the exteriors. The bonnet is now larger and the nose of the car looks higher than before. The headlights and the LED DRLs have also been placed separately from each other. It also gets 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. At the rear, there is a piano black strip running in between the tail lights which also houses the stop light. The front and the rear bumper get silver styling and the plastic cladding surrounds the lower half of the entire vehicle.
Coming to the exteriors, the 2020 Hyundai Creta gets a contrast black roof. The A-pillar which is finished in black extends to the roof spoiler at the rear. The B and C pillars get a matte black finish and there is a thick white line which runs across the black roofline on the sides. The interiors are new as well. It now gets dual-tone black and beige colour theme with red stitching and luxe upholstery. There are piano black and chrome accents on the door. The dashboard houses a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which looks similar to the ones seen on Tesla cars.
The steering wheel design is new and gets finished in leather, similar to the dashboard and the door components. The interiors of the 2020 Creta are a notch higher than its current generation.
Powering the all-new Hyundai Creta would most likely be a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine which would be BS6 ready. With the new updates and revamped interiors, the price of the 2020 Creta would likely be increased than its current counterpart.
