2020 Honda Jazz will get a major refresh and will look much more promising than the current model.
Halfway through 2019 and we have 2 auto expos coming right at us. With the likes of Tokyo Motor Show lined up from 24 October 2019 to 4 November 2019, and the 2020 Auto Expo from 7-14 February, we anticipate the 2020 Honda Jazz’s unveiling.
The 2020 Honda Jazz will be the 4th iteration of the model and will host a list of upgrades, both mechanical and cosmetic. Without a doubt, the new Jazz will be BS6 compliant and will house a hybrid system.
The 2020 Honda Jazz is likely to pack in more cabin space without distorting its sub 4-metre length. Hence it can only be wider. The new, India bound model will house a mild hybrid system assisting a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol motor. Once the BS6 compliance is all set, Honda might carryover with the 1.5-litre i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine, but there are no concrete statements on it yet. There can be a couple of options for the transmission as well. A manual gearbox will be standard on both engines (petrol/diesel). With time, a CVT automatic transmission can be in the mix.
The 2020 Honda Jazz seems to have a noticeable revised design. The headlight unit appears sleeker, packing in LED DRLs and projector headlamps for clear illumination. The front profile will be even more aggressive with a redesigned bonnet, a new grille and a fresh front bumper.
The build quality is likely to go up the scale in competition to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Hyundai Elite i20 and the Volkswagen Polo. With better build quality comes a higher price tag and that can be easily sensed considering the premium quality material that the 2020 Honda Jazz will get.
