The next generation Honda Jazz has been leaked and it looks more sporty than the outgoing model.
Honda is preparing to launch the new generation Jazz in the international market. The image of the fourth generation Jazz has been leaked online. The hatchback now looks much more sporty than the current gen, specially in the Type R variant which gets sporty elements.
The next generation Honda Jazz comes with a sharp front profile with a steeply raked bonnet. It gets jewel shaped headlamps like the second generation with LED DRLs and projector headlamps. The black alloys look appealing too. While the rear profile has not been revealed yet, the side looks inspired from the Mercedes A-Class towards the rear.
The 2020 Honda Jazz will make its world premier at the Tokyo Motor Show later this year. The new Jazz will measure sub 4-metre in length but it will be wider for better cabin space. It will be underpinned by the next generation Honda City platform.
Honda is expected to introduce multiple variants for the Jazz including Type R variant and mild hybrid engine options. The Type R performance oriented version might come with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 220 BHP. The new model will be offered with hybrid petrol and 1.0-litre turbo along with 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine options.
We can expect Honda to introduce the fourth generation Jazz in India sometime later next year. The premium hatchback will compete against the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Tata Altroz, Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo and the likes.
