The Honda City has scored full 5-stars yet again for the third time at ASEAN NCAP. It is a Thailand-spec City scoring 44.83 points for adult occupant protection, 22.85 for child occupant protection and 18.89 for safety assist tech.
The C-segment sedan has got an overall score of 86.54 points out of 100 which includes full frontal offset impact along with side impact and safety assist tech.
The Thailand spec City comes with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, VSA, hill-start assist, emergency stop signal and multi-view reverse camera.
Honda will introduce a slightly different spec City for India that’ll be longer and will get higher ground clearance. It’ll get BS6 compliant 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine options.
With the new stringent safety norms in India, we can expect a similar crash test score for the India-spec Honda City as well. It was about to launch in the country in April but due to the ongoing lockdown, the launch has been delayed.
