Datsun redi-GO all details leaked, bookings commence on 15th May.
Recently the Japanese carmaker teased the redi-GO facelift with a silhouette showing sharper front profile and huge LED DRLs. Now, all the details have been leaked including features, variants and new changes.
The 2020 Datsun redi-GO will be launched soon, while the bookings will commence on 15th May. The front profile comes with new sleek headlamps with huge LED DRLs and LED foglamps. There is a huge grille up front, new 14-inch wheels with new covers and LED tail lamps.
It will be offered in 6 colour options which include two new colours – blue and brown. There is new body colour ORVM as well and the overall styling looks much more premium and sporty than before.
The interior will get substantial changes as well. It includes gun metal brushed trim, door trim with fabric, internally adjustable ORVMs, chrome AC dials, rear door trim with 1-litre bottle holders, etc.
The biggest addition to the facelift is a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that will be offered with Apple CarPlay and Androud Auto connectivity. It will also act as a display for the rear view camera.
For additional safety, the updated redi-GO will be offered with dual front airbags and front seatbelt with pretensioner and load limiter along with rear seatbelts with retractive function. Passenger airbag will be available on the top trim only.
Majority of these additional features will be offered in the new range topping T(O) trim. The updated redi-GO will be available in four trims – D,A,T and T(O).
Both the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engines will be updated to comply with the new BS6 emission norms. 0.8-litre version will be available with all variants while the 1.0-litre will be offered in T(O) along with AMT gearbox option.
The Datsun redi-GO competes with the likes of Maruti Alto and Renault Kwid. Pricing will be revealed soon after the bookings commence.
