The 2020 BMW X6 gets a striking design, 3 engine options and lots of technology.
The third generation BMW X6 has been revealed globally. The X6 is now based on the BMW Cluster Architecture (CLAR) just like the new X5 but it comes with a completely new design yet retaining the core styling element of the X6 which is the coupe-like body.
On the outside, the 2020 BMW X6 gets very sharp lines and creases. Of course, the oversized kidney grille is something that you cannot miss. The X6 does look striking and has a lot of modern touches to the design. The party trick is the optional illuminated grille though!
The cabin has been completely revamped and you get a lot more features & technology and better quality materials. The X6 comes with BMW Live Cockpit with iDrive with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment screen with voice commands, gesture controls, WiFi, wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay with an annual fee.
The 2020 BMW X6 also gets safety features like BMW Active Driving Assistant which includes Radar Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Warning and Park Distance Control. Optional extras include Lane Keep Assist, Automatic Lane Change Assist, Side Collision Avoidance, etc.
Globally, the new BMW X6 will be available with a multitude of powertrain options. The xDrive40i and sDrive40i models come with a 3.0-litre, inline-6 turbo petrol engine producing 335 HP and 447 Nm while the M50i trim gets a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine making 523 HP and 720 Nm. Both the engines are available with the same 8-speed AT and BMW is also offering an optional Off-Road Package for the xDrive40i while an optional Dynamic Handling package is also offered.
The 2020 BMW X6 is priced between $64,300-85,650 (Rs. 44.27-58.97 lakhs approx.) but when it will be launched in India, prices will be higher and we can expect it to cost somewhere between Rs. 70-80 lakhs (ex-showroom).
