Audi has introduced the much awaited Q8 in India, limited to 200 units.
The Audi Q8 was expected to be introduced long time back in the country. We even saw test mules of the Audi flagship SUV in India a couple of years back. The Q8 is finally here with a price tag of Rs. 1.33 crores (ex-showroom).
Audi is offering the Q8 as a CBU import in India which is limited to only 200 units. It is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
This engine produces 340 HP and 500 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission. The Q8 comes with all-wheel drive Quattro tech as standard. 0-100 km/hr comes up in a claimed 5.9 seconds.
Currently Audi is not considering diesel engine options for their cars in India. The German luxury carmaker will study the BS6 diesel era in the country and then decide their plan of action for diesels.
The Audi Q8 is an SUV Coupe with sharp styling elements. It comes with LED headlights and tail lights, massive grille up front, frameless doors, coupe-like roofline and steeply raked rear profile, giving it a sporty appeal.
The interior design looks quite similar to the Q7 and it comes loaded with equipment.
