Yamaha has unveiled the new 2019 Yamaha R3 with sleek design lines and new features.
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has unveiled the new 2019 Yamaha R3. The new bike gets major visual updates with some new features to make it more reliable and appealing. The 2019 Yamaha R3 design is inspired by its elder sibling the Yamaha R1.
The motorcycle gets sleek LED headlamp with a faux air intake in the centre like the new Yamaha R15 V3. It gets a large windshield, muscular fuel tank along with a big R logo on the new fairing. The rear has been made even sharper similar to the new R15 V3. There is a new digital instrument console with white backlit TFT display. It features information such as gear indicator, engine heat level and a digital clock.
The update also includes a 37 mm KYB USD forks along with new clip-on handlebars to offer better handling. The 2019 Yamaha R3 is powered by the same 321cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine which produces 41 BHP and 29.6 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets disc at the front and rear wheels along with dual channel ABS as standard. The new R3’s kerb weight is 169 kgs.
The new R3 is expected to hit the Indian market in 2019. It has a strong rivalry from the KTM RC 390, BMW G 310 R and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
