The 2019 Yamaha MT-15 is powered by the same engine as the R15 Version 3.0.

Yamaha has revealed the new MT-15 in Thailand. The design and style of the 2019 Yamaha MT-15 are taken from the bigger MT bikes. The bike looks very muscular with the sculpted fuel tank and the predator style LED headlight design is very tantalizing.
The all-digital instrument cluster along with many mechanical hardware are taken from the fully faired sibling R15 V.30. Powering the bike is a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder motor which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that churns out 19.3 BHP and 15 Nm of peak torque. The Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) offers a good surge of power throughout the rev band.
However, if Yamaha plans to bring this bike to India, they would have to localise a lot of components to keep costs low. But we can’t be completely sure about the launch of this bike in our market.
