The Triumph Tiger XCa 800 is the more off-road focused machine.
Triumph has launched the 2019 Tiger 800 XCa in India today at a price of Rs. 15.17 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Tiger XCa has more features biased towards off-road riding and it is the top of the line offering from the manufacturer which sits above the XCx trim. The motorcycle is being brought to India via the CBU route. The Tiger XCa rivals the Honda Africa Twin and the BMW F 850 GS.
The 2019 Triumph Tiger 800 XCa comes equipped with LED lights with new DRLs (which are hard to miss), switchgear which comes with back illumination for better visibility, a joystick control, heated grips and an aluminium finished radiator guard. The TFT screen gets new layout styles as well. In terms of riding, the 2019 Triumph Tiger 800 XCa gets different modes viz. Street, Off-Road, Off-Road Pro and Individual, as well as switchable ABS.
The adventure motorcycle rides on a 21-inch wheel at the front and 17-inch wheel at the rear. The wheels are spoked, pointing out its off-road capabilities. The suspension gets 43 mm Upside Down (USD) forks with a travel of 220 mm at the front and a monoshock at the rear with a maximum travel of 215 mm.
The 2019 Triumph Tiger XCa is powered by an 800cc, liquid-cooled, inline-three engine with a DOHC setup which makes 94 PS of power and 79 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle gets a twin-disc Brembo caliper braking setup at the front and a single-disc rear brake with Nissin caliper.
