The new Street Twin gets more power and some new features.
Triumph has unveiled the 2019 Triumph Street Twin at the 2018 Intermot show. This new motorcycle gets the same design line but the major changes are in the heart of this bike. The Street Twin engine now generates 18 percent of more power and gets additional features to make the bike even more desirable.
The new Street Twin engine gets a 900cc parallel-twin motor which generates 64 BHP, while the older engine produced 55 BHP. The redline has now increased by 500 RPM and the peak torque remains the same as the previous version but now it comes at 3800 RPM instead of 3200 RPM.
The Street Twin now gets a lighter crankshaft, dead shaft, balancer shaft and lighter clutch. This bike now comes with two riding modes – Road and Rain. The bikes get switchable ABS and traction control as standard. It also gets Brembo four-piston callipers at the front for an improved braking experience.
In terms of looks, the cast wheels and instrument console is newly designed, and a new seat is added to the 2019 Triumph Street Twin. The headlight is redesigned with brushed aluminium brackets, new tank badge and a revamped Street Twin logo.
The new Street Twin now comes with a lot of accessories. Triumph is also offering two custom kits – Urban Ride kit and Cafe Custom kit. The new model will be making its debut in the European market first, we can expect this on Indian roads very soon.
