Indonesia will be the first market to get the all-new Suzuki Carry which will also be imported to over 100 countries.
Suzuki has introduced the global all-new Carry at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2019. Indonesia will get the all-new 2019 Suzuki Carry, which will also be exported to nearly 100 countries in different regions. Currently, the Suzuki Carry is sold in 145 countries around the world and with over two million units sold.
The 2019 Suzuki Carry gets an updated design. The new model of the Carry looks sharp from the front while the headlights and the grille come in the same line. The all-new Carry is 4195 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2205 mm. The height and width vary as per the variant. It comes with a Flat Deck and Wide Deck option. While the Flat Deck measures 1675 mm in width and 1870 mm in height, the Wide Deck measures 1765 mm in width and 1910 mm in height. The Wide Deck variant’s load bay can be opened from three sides, unlike the Flat Deck variant.
Under the hood, the all-new Suzuki Carry is powered by the K15B-C 1.5-litre petrol engine, which could be the derivative of the K15B engine which can be found on the Maruti Ciaz and Ertiga. The engine makes 97 PS of power at 5600 RPM and 135 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The new generation of the Suzuki Carry has a total cargo payload of up to 1 tonne. The cabin is now wider and can accommodate up to three people. While the interiors have also been updated, it also gets many storage spaces inside the cabin. The driver seat is also adjustable and the Carry gets features like power steering, air conditioning and an audio system. It is available in three colours, Superior White, Silky Silver and Real Black. With Maruti discontinuing the diesel variant of the Super Carry in India, we can expect this to be introduced in the Indian market with the new petrol engine.
