The 2018 Porsche Cayenne has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 1.19 crores.
Porsche India launched the 2018 Cayenne in India today. The Turbo variant of the SUV was launched earlier and now the German automaker has added 2 more trims to the Cayenne line-up – Base and e-Hybrid.
The interior of this SUV is inspired by the new Panamera’s interior and it gets a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The centre console buttons get glass-like touch surfaces. The new Cayenne gets a redesigned grille and features Porsche’s signature four-point LED DRLs in the headlamps, which offer the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
Under the hood, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne base trim comes with a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 motor which develops 335 BHP and 450 Nm of torque. The Porsche Cayenne e-Hybrid gets a 3.0-litre V6 engine which produces 462 BHP and 700 Nm of peak torque, along with a 14.1 kWh battery. The top of the line Cayenne Turbo gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo, V8 petrol engine that generates 550 BHP and 770 Nm of torque. The company had stated earlier that they won’t be launching any diesel variant.
The new Porsche Cayenne base trim is priced at Rs. 1.19 crores, e-Hybrid variant is priced at Rs 1.58 crores and the Cayenne Turbo is priced at Rs 1.92 crores. Bookings had been started earlier for the new Cayenne range in India and the deliveries will begin by the end of this year or January 2019.
