The 2019 Maruti Wagon R CNG has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 4.84 lakhs.
Maruti recently launched the new generation Wagon R and now the company has introduced the CNG version of this tall boy hatchback. The Wagon R CNG is available only in the LXi and LXi (O) trims with the 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine. The CNG variants are priced at Rs. 4.84 lakhs (LXi) and Rs. 4.89 lakhs (LXi (O)) with all prices being ex-showroom, Delhi.
In terms of kit, the Maruti Wagon R CNG is similar to its petrol-powered counterpart of the same trims. It comes with central locking, driver’s side airbag, ABS, rear parking sensors, speed alert system, seatbelt reminder, 12V socket, front power windows and manual AC.
While the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine on petrol churns out 68 HP and 90 Nm, with CNG it delivers 59 HP and 78 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The CNG variant has a claimed efficiency of 33.54 kms/kg. The Wagon R CNG is priced Rs. 65,000/- above its petrol-powered variants.
