After introducing the updated Alto 800 with visual changes and BS6 engine, it now gets CNG option.
Maruti Suzuki launched the BS6 compliant Alto 800 a couple of months back. The automaker also made some visual tweaks to the hatchback to make it look fresh. Now, Maruti Suzuki has introduced the much awaited CNG variants of the Alto 800. 2019 Alto 800 CNG is priced from Rs. 4.11 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Alto 800 CNG is available in two variants – LXi and LXi (O). The latter is priced at Rs. 4.14 lakhs (ex-showroom). This makes it around Rs. 60,000/- more expensive compared to its regular petrol engine variant. The Alto 800 already complies with the upcoming crash test safety and BS6 emission norms.
Powering the Alto 800 CNG is a 796cc engine that produces a peak power output of 41 HP and 60 Nm of torque. The Alto K10 however, with the 1.0-litre petrol engine has not been updated yet for crash test and BS6. However, it gets the mandatory safety updates to meet the October 1, 2019 deadline.
