The vehicle gets updated with safety features and slight changes to the exterior.
The Maruti Alto 800 is set to get an important update wherein the vehicle will get the necessary features that are now mandatory. The Alto K10 variant was updated last month with new safety features. Now, the 2019 Maruti Alto 800 has been spotted ahead of its launch and it gets a minor tweak to the design too.
The updated Maruti Alto 800 is essentially the same car. However, on the outside, it sports a new bumper design, a blacked-out front grille, slight design changes to the headlamps and newly designed fog lamps. The interiors also get updated with dual-tone dashboard and door panels. The centre console gets a new design along with the standard sound system which is equipped with USB and AUX inputs.
Coming to the safety updates, the Maruti Alto 800 now gets ABS, EBD and driver-side airbag as standard. The top end variants also get a front passenger airbag. It also gets rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder and high-speed alert, necessary to meet the safety norms.
The updated Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is expected to be powered by the same 796cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine which makes 48 BHP at 6000 RPM and 69 Nm of torque at 3900 RPM. The engine, however, is BS4 compliant. The Alto 800 rivals the Renault Kwid and Datsun redi-GO.
