With the required safety updates, the Mahindra TUV300 now becomes compliant to the upcoming BNVSAP norms.
The facelifted version of the Mahindra TUV300 has been spotted at a dealer stockyard. From the images of the new TUV300, it can be seen that the compact SUV now shows a lot of changes. The 2019 Mahindra TUV300 facelift gets a new front grille while there is also a new bumper insert that has been incorporated. The silhouette of the vehicle remains the same. However, the rear of the vehicle shows new clear lens tail lamps and reverse parking sensors.
Coming to the interiors, the dashboard looks similar to the current model. It is also expected to get new features. The TUV300 will now get standard ABS, twin airbags, seat belt reminder, high-speed alert and reverse parking sensors. The addition of the said safety features will also makes it compliant with the upcoming BNVSAP norms.
Powering the 2019 Mahindra TUV300 will be the same engine, the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, diesel engine with a two-stage turbocharger. The engine is available in two different states of tunes; 80 BHP and 230 Nm while in the higher tune it makes 100 BHP and 240. The lower tuned variant gets a 5-speed manual transmission while the higher tuned trim is offered with the choice of a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The compact SUV features a body-on-ladder construction and it is the only sub-4-metre compact SUV to offer this specific layout.
The current version of the Mahindra TUV300 is priced from Rs. 8.28 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the updated model is likely to get a marginal price hike. The TUV300 competes with other sub 4-metre compact SUVs like the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and its own sibling, the XUV300.
