Kawasaki has launched its naked sports bike at Rs. 7.68 lakhs, the 2019 Kawasaki Z900.
Kawasaki India has launched its popular naked sport, the 2019 Kawasaki Z900. This model gets no mechanical changes and continues with the same price tag of Rs. 7.68 lakhs (ex-showroom).
This bike gets 41 mm upside down forks at the front while the rear gets a monoshock unit, both are adjustable. Braking duties are taken care by 300 mm dual petal discs at the front and a single 250 mm petal disc at the rear, ABS comes as standard. The kerb weight of Z900 is 210 kg and it gets a 17-litre fuel tank.
The 2019 Z900 is powered by the same 948cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine that produces 125 PS and 98.6 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and gets a slip-assist clutch. The design is inspired by the Japanese Sugomi design language. The tubular trellis frame and a lightweight swing arm makes this bike around 20 kg lighter than the Z800.
The Kawasaki Z900 is available in three new colour schemes – metallic moondust grey/ebony, pearl flat stardust white/metallic spark black and metallic flat spark black/metallic spark black.
The Kawasaki Z900 is assembled in our country at the company’s facility in Chakan, Pune. This bike competes against the Triumph Street Triple, Ducati Monster 797 and the Suzuki GSX-S750.
