The Kawasaki Ninja H2, H2 Carbon and H2R are perfect examples of what profound engineering with elegant artwork turns out to be when produced with advanced technology. The outgoing bikes had received various accolades in India and the new bikes with their even higher power output and more features should be able to carry the baton forward.
The 998cc, supercharged engine of the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 has gotten a power bump and now produces 227.8 HP at 11,500 RPM and 141.7 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 RPM . New Brembo Stylema calipers are provided for that much needed stopping power. They have less volume around the pistons and brakes which reduces space taken up by the fluid and enables a more direct response. It also has a new TFT colour instrumentation along with smartphone connectivity to enable riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly using ‘Rideology The App’. A number of instrument functions like vehicle info, riding log, telephone notice and many more can be accessed through it.
Furthermore, the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja H2 features a highly durable paint with a special coat that allows scratches to repair themselves. The 2019 H2 rolls on Bridgestone RS11 tyres and gets LED all around. The price for this one is Rs. 34.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The more visually appealing H2 Carbon is priced at Rs. 41 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes with a carbon paint finish.
The 2019 Kawasaki H2R is a track-only version of the H2 model and the 998cc supercharged engine on this produces 305.7 HP at 14,000 RPM and a peak torque of 165 Nm at 12,500 RPM. It doesn’t feature LEDs as it doesn’t have any lights. Needless to say, Kawasaki’s traction control and other clever gadgetry is present on all the bikes to help keep them under control. This one will set you back by Rs. 72 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The company has made it very clear that the 2019 Ninja H2 Carbon and H2R models have a very limited production run because of strenuous production. The high cost is partly because they are CBUs (completely built units) and bookings for all the three bikes will begin from 1st September 2018 and will carry on only for two months. Deliveries will commence in 2019.
