MY2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 launched, gets only cosmetic changes.
The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has been launched in India. Price for the motorcycle remains the same, Rs. 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike gets only minor cosmetic changes and is being assembled as an SKD (semi-knocked down) product at the company’s Pune facility.
The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is available in two colours – black and green. Bookings for the vehicle have commenced across all Kawasaki dealerships in the country. The bike draws design inspiration from the Ninja H2 and the ZX-10R and as a result, gets some top features like chin spoilers and dual LED headlights. Inside the two-piece fairing is a 1043cc 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, in-line 4, Euro 4 compliant engine that produces 142 PS of power and 111 Nm of torque. This motor comes matched to a 6-speed gearbox with Assist & Slipper Clutch.
Underpinnings like the suspension and brakes remain identical to the previous model. Some of the electronic aids on offer are ABS, 3-mode Kawasaki Traction Control and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit).
