Hyundai has launched the all-new 2019 Santro with an AMT and CNG option.
The most awaited 2019 Hyundai Santro has launched today. The new Santro is loaded with features to take on the likes of the next-gen Wagon R, Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid and Maruti Alto K10. This car comes in five variants, two engine options and two transmission choices.
The 2019 Santro gets Hyundai signature grille with chrome outline and huge fog lamps. The overall design is carried forward from the previous Santro silhouette. The car comes with electric ORVMs, remote keyless entry and a rear washer and wiper along with rear defogger. However, the 165/70/14 tyres miss out on alloy wheels even on the top spec Asta variant.
On the interior, the car gets dual-tone beige and black coloured dashboard. The instrument cluster is semi-digital and it also gets steering mounted audio and phone controls. The car comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link connectivity. The Santro also gets power windows, day and night cabin rear view mirror, USB port with 12V socket and rear AC vents.
On the safety front, the car gets 63 percent of advanced high strength steel, driver’s side airbag and ABS with EBD as standard. While the higher variants come with dual airbags, rear parking camera, impact sensing auto door unlock, speed sensing auto door lock and seat belt pretensioner with load limiter.
The Santro gets two engine options – a 1.1-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68.05 BHP and 99 Nm of torque. The 1.1-litre 4-cylinder petrol+CNG engine that produces 58 BHP and 84 Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol powered Magna and Sportz variant comes with an option of a smart AMT.
Hyundai is offering seven colour options – Dyna Green, Typhoon Silver, Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Imperial Beige and Marina Blue. The Santro comes with 3 years/1,00,000 km warranty and 3 years roadside assistance.
