Bugatti La Voiture Noire
Just when we thought Bugatti couldn’t possibly produce costlier cars, they showcased the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. La Voiture Noire stands for ‘The Black Car’ in French. This supercar is based on the Chiron and is a one-off production car. The La Voiture Noire also marks Bugatti’s 100th anniversary while simultaneously paying tribute to the brand’s most iconic car, the Type 57 SC Atlantis.
There’s some similarity to other Bugatti cars in the way this car has been designed. However, each and every component has been handcrafted in order to maintain the bespoke nature of the La Voiture Noire. Even the deep black gloss paint has been specially crafted for the car. The car does strike a resemblance to the Type 57 SC Atlantis, especially when viewed from the top.
It features vertically stacked headlights, a first for Bugatti cars while the rear gets six horizontally stacked exhausts for that extra bit of drama. The body is made completely out of carbon fibre. The black present on the car is only interrupted by the supply of high-grade chrome elements. Bugatti went that mile to provide stunning dual-tone alloy wheels that provide a turbine effect when looked at. Overall, the car looks drop-dead gorgeous despite Bugatti refusing to reveal the interior at all.
While Bugatti didn’t reveal information on the La Voiture Noire’s performance figures, it’s safe to assume it’ll be similar to that of the Chiron, if not better. However, the specifications revealed mirror that of the Chiron. The Bugatti La Voiture Noire costs an eye-watering 16.7 million Euros (Rs. 130 crores) and is available for only one lucky (and super-rich) customer.
