The 2019 BMW X4 has been launched in India, available in 3 variants and priced between Rs. 60.60-65.90 lakhs.
BMW has launched yet another product in the X line-up in their Indian portfolio and it is the X4 coupe. The BMW X4 is slotted between the X3 and X5, and thanks to its coupe body style, it will appeal to a niche set of customers. The vehicle is priced from Rs. 60.60-65.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is locally manufactured at BMW’s facility in Chennai.
On the design front, the 2019 BMW X4 looks quite cool, it has a lot of sporty elements and the design is very striking in typical BMW fashion. It comes with Fully Adaptive LED headlights, anti-dazzle high beam lights, LED fog lamps, twin exhaust pipes and a roof spoiler.
The BMW X4 is available with the M-Sport kit which includes Frozen Grey air intakes, side skirts and wheel arch trims. The SUV also gets 19-inch M alloy wheels, M leather steering wheel, M door sill finishers and blue M-Sport brake calipers. The X4 is available in the following colours – Alpine White, Flamenco Red Brilliant Effect, Phytonic Blue and Carbon Black.
The interior of the BMW X4 is quite premium and tech-loaded. It gets a Sensatec instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and Welcome Light Carpet. The rear seat of the vehicle has a 40:20:40 split functionality.
Equipment includes a multi-function instrument display, iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition, 10.25-inch BMW Navigation System Professional with touch functionality, Harman Kardon 16-speakers 600 Watts surround sound system, BMW Apps, Wireless Apple CarPlay and full colour Head-Up Display.
The 2019 BMW X4 is offered with 3 engine options in India – 2.0-litre, 4-cyl petrol as xDrive30i, 2.0-litre, 4-cyl diesel as the xDrive20d and 3.0-litre, inline-6 diesel as the xDrive30d. The 30i produces 252 HP and 350 Nm and goes from 0-100 km/hr in 6.3 seconds while the 20d belts out 190 HP and 400 Nm, going from 0-100 km/hr in 8 seconds. Meanwhile, the 30d churns out 265 HP and 620 Nm with the 0-100 km/hr timing rated at 6 seconds.
The BMW X4 gets Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport/Sport+ modes, Brake Energy Regeneration and 50:50 weight distribution as part of EfficientDynamics.
On the safety front, this SUV comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control with Cornering Braking Control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, side impact protection, Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks, Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.
