The 2019 BMW R 1250 GS range has been launched in India, with a starting price of Rs. 16.85 lakhs.
The 2019 BMW R 1250 GS has been launched in India and 4 variants of the bike are available. The adventure bike is priced between Rs. 16.85-21.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) and is available in the following variants – Standard, Adventure Standard, Pro and Adventure Pro.
Elements like the mainframe, handlebar and drivetrain are finished in silver while the luggage bridge gets a White Aluminium Matt finish while the trim holder gets a Nürburg Silver finish. The fork slider tubes are anodised in gold colour while the fuel tank side trim gets an Asphalt Grey finish.
Meanwhile, the R 1250 GS Adventure gets blacked out elements such as the mainframe, brake calipers and cross-spoke wheels along with a black coated powertrain. The hand protectors come in a black shade while the seat gets a combination of red and black.
The bikes come with features like a new instrument cluster with an analogue speedo and multi-functional display, LED headlight, large windscreen and seat height adjustment. There’s an optional 6.5-inch TFT display which comes with a controller that gives the rider access to connectivity and vehicle functions.
The 2019 BMW R 1250 GS comes powered by a 1254cc, 2-cyl, inline Boxer engine delivering 136 HP at 7750 RPM and 143 Nm at 6250 RPM. The adventure bike gets BMW ShiftCam which offers better rideability, reduced emissions, better efficiency and more refinement. 2 riding modes are available along with Automatic Stability Control and Hill Start Control.
BMW is also offering Comfort, Touring and Dynamic packages with the bike. The Comfort package consists of a chrome plated exhaust, heated grips and RDC tyre pressure control. The Touring package comes with Dynamic ESA, Keyless Ride, preparation for navigation unit, cruise control, centre stand and case holders on both sides. The Dynamic package comes with Riding Modes Pro (ABS Pro, HSC Pro, DTC and DBC), Gearshift Assistant Pro, DRL and LED turn indicators.
