2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Spotted Again

2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 spotted with some mechanical and visual upgrades.

The new Dominar 400 will get upside down forks

The 2019 Dominar 400 was spied in the suburbs of Pune with some mechanical and visual upgrades. Bajaj Auto is ready to attract more buyers to their flagship bike by adding more equipment.

The most noticeable change of the new Dominar 400 is the new USD forks to improve the handling and suspension behaviour. However, the make of the forks is not yet confirmed. According to the spy image, it also gets a new twin-exhaust end and a redesigned radiator which looks larger than the present model.

The new Dominar 400 will feature ABS as standard unlike the optional pack in the current model. However, a single channel or dual channel ABS is not yet confirmed. It is also expected that the new Dominar 400 will get a DOHC motor as seen on the KTM Duke 390. The Dominar might achieve BS-VI compliance to surpass the new emission norms which will be applied in India by 2020.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is presently powered by a 373cc single-cylinder engine that develops 34.5 BHP and 35 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The new Dominar is expected to have a bump in power figures.

The new Dominar is also expected to get new paint shades. Bajaj is expected to price this bike around Rs. 15,000/- more than the current model. With an estimated price of Rs. 1.80 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Dominar 400 will stand against the KTM Duke 250, Honda CBR250R and the Royal Enfield Classic 500.
