2018 TVS Apache 160 has been spotted for the first time with a monoshock suspension and Apache 200 inspired styling cues.
The 2018 TVS Apache 160 has been spotted testing on Bengaluru roads. The spotted test mule is definitely not an Apache 200 owing to the thinner rear tyre and rear drum brake it features.
The spotted test mule features a similar instrument console, headlight and tail-light design and the dual barrel exhaust as seen on the Apache 200, an air-cooled engine and a single-piece seat design.
The spotted test mule had no badges of either the company or the brand Apache but we suspect this could be the updated Apache 160. TVS could be thinking of equipping the Apache 160 and 180 with a monoshock suspension and Apache 200 inspired styling, replacing the current Apache 160 and 180 which have remain unchanged since a long time now. TVS could also offer an optional rear disc brake on the Apache 160 and dual-channel ABS on the Apache 180.
The 2018 TVS Apache 160 will go against the likes of the newly launched Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet 160R. There is no official word yet from TVS on the launch of the new Apache 160 but the update has been long due.
