Renault has officially taken the wraps off the 2018 Duster at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The updated model gets revamped exterior as well as interior, plus some new features. Here’s all that you need to know about the 2018 Renault Duster.
Design & Looks – The design on the 2018 Renault Duster remains identical to the current one while there are changes in the form of a new grille with chrome elements, new headlamps with LED DRLs, satin chrome finish for the front and rear bumpers, newly designed ORVMs, Dacia’s signature four-square design tail-lamps and redesigned tail-gate. New 17-inch alloys fill the flared wheel arches.
Interiors – The interior in the 2018 Renault Duster has also been redesigned. To start with there’s a new 4-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The entire dash layout and the seats have been redesigned. There is a MediaNAV touchscreen infotainment system and a new trio of buttons for the automatic climate control. There are toggle switches in between the infotainment system and the climate control buttons to control and set various functions of the car.
Powertrain – Internationally, the Renault Duster is powered by 2 petrol (a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 115 HP and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with 125 HP) and 2 diesel engines (a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 90 HP and 110 HP). Both the petrol and diesel engines use a manual gearbox but the 110 HP 1.5 diesel engine can be had with the EDC automatic transmission.
Back in India, the 2018 Renault Duster is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5 petrol motor churns out 106 HP of power and 141 Nm of torque. The 1.5 diesel comes in 2 states of tune, an 85 HP version and a 110 HP version.
