2018 Range Rover Sport SVR, Range Rover SVAutobiography launched in India, priced from Rs. 1.97 crores.
The 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR and the Range Rover SVAutobiography luxury SUVs have been launched in India priced at Rs. 1.97 crores and Rs. 3.11 crores (ex-showroom, India) respectively. The Range Rover SVAutobiography is also available in the LWB (long wheelbase) version too. The vehicles have received upgrades from the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team and as a result, come with enhanced performance and features. Bookings for the luxury SUVs have commenced.
Updates to the 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR include a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine with power and torque outputs of 567 HP and 700 Nm respectively. 0-100 km/hr sprint is achieved in just 4.5 seconds which is fast for an SUV weighing over 2 tonnes. The engineers at SVO have focused on controlling pitch under heavy acceleration and braking and changes to the damping hardware have improved the turn-in, mid-corner grip and body control. Other changes come in the form of carbon fibre bonnet as standard, revised front bumper for effective cooling and braking and new lightweight SVR Performance seats.
The 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography is available in the standard wheelbase (2.92-metres) as well as the long wheelbase (3.12-metres) version. The standard wheelbase is available in the Dynamic trim which comes powered by the 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine but with a power output of 558 HP and 700 Nm of torque. The long wheelbase is offered in two engine options – 558 HP 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine and a 335 HP 4.4-litre V8 diesel motor.
The luxury SUV gets rear Executive Class-Comfort seating with power deployable centre console with premium veneer finishers and a host of seating options including 24-way Hot-Stone massage seats in the front. Other features on offer are Power Close rear doors, concealed refrigerator, Pixel-Laser LED headlights with Signature DRLs and a Meridian Signature sound system. Wheel options include 21 and 22-inch wheels. The facelifted Range Rover SVAutobiography gets body-coloured side vent graphics that are accentuated by bright chrome inserts, unique Graphite Atlas accents, distinctive red Land Rover branded brake calipers and exclusive 21-inch wheels.
