The 2018 Nissan Micra now gets new features and enhanced safety for the passengers.
The market continues to see more companies launch updated versions of their models in India. The latest company to do so is Nissan who has launched its 2018 Micra which is priced from Rs. 5.03 – 7.91 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2018 Nissan Micra gets minimal design updates on the exterior. The turn indicators are now integrated into the outside rear view mirrors (ORVM). Other new features include a new 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports phone mirroring. It even has keyless entry and a push stop/start button. The ‘Lead Me to Car’ feature will take you to the car in case you forget where you parked it.
The car now gets a speed warning device as standard across all its variants. Other safety features include dual front airbags (standard on all trims), speed-sensing door lock, driver seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors and a reverse parking camera.
The company is also offering its NissanConnect system with the 2018 Micra. It offers features like geo-fencing, speed alert, curfew alert, nearby pit stops, Locate My Car and Share My Car Location that address the rising concerns regarding the safety & security of the buyers.
The 2018 Nissan Micra can be bought in two engine options. One is the 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 77 HP and a peak torque of 104 Nm. The other engine option is the 1.5-litre diesel motor that puts out 63.12 HP at 4000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2000 RPM. While the petrol engine comes with an X-Tronic CVT gearbox, the diesel engine only gets a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the Micra Active gets only a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 67 HP and 104 Nm.
