The most practical MINI of the lot, the Countryman, has been showcased at the Auto Expo in its new gen avatar.
This time around the MINI stall is action packed too. Having the eye candy range of current lineup, the MINI brand has a new addition at the 2018 Auto Expo, the new generation MINI Countryman, which has been scheduled for a launch later this year. It is the most practical offering for the Indian market having a 5-door layout with high ground clearance and competitive pricing due to the CKD assembly in India.
The new MINI Countryman now looks modern and fresh with the restyled exteriors. However, MINI has managed to retain the original silhouette of a rugged crossover like the previous gen. The interior is new but the circular theme continues in a more polished avatar for the new gen model. Also, the list of features is longer including the new infotainment system with better connectivity options and new elements.
On the inside, the car features around 30% increase in cargo capacity. Powering the 2018 MINI Countryman are three different engine options – a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine developing 190 BHP of power and 400 Nm of torque. Bookings for the car will commence in the next couple of months.
