2018 Maruti Swift waiting period could go up to 4 months, currently is at 6-8 weeks.
Maruti Suzuki commenced taking bookings for the all-new Swift from 17th January and just over 10 days, the waiting period for the hatchback has come up to 6-8 weeks. Moreover, some dealers report that the waiting period for the car could extend up to even 4 months, especially for the AMT and range-topping Z+ variants.
For the first time, the Maruti Swift gets an automatic transmission and it is the AMT-equipped trims that are witnessing a higher demand. Almost 65 percent of total bookings account for AMT gearbox models. The option of AMT (AGS as Maruti calls it) is available on the VXi, VDi, ZXi and ZDi variants. The vehicle will be launched and prices will be announced at the 2018 Auto Expo. However, we expect the new Swift to cost Rs. 30,000/- more (variant to variant) than the outgoing model.
