The 2018 Jawa 350 Special breaks cover in Europe, looks gorgeous!
Jawa has taken the wraps off a new motorcycle called the 350 Special. The 2018 Jawa 350 Special is based on the Jawa 350 OHC. The 350 Special is Jawa’s third bike in Europe after the 350 OHC and 660 Vintage.
In terms of styling, the Jawa 350 Special adopts a Cafe Racer design and honestly, this machine looks drop-dead gorgeous. The beautiful fairing, classic round-shaped headlight, retro colour and the thin upswept dual exhausts all add to the bike’s appeal. The vehicle draws power from a 397cc parallel-twin engine that produces 27.6 HP of power at 6500 RPM and 30.6 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM. The powertrain is manufactured by a Chinese company Shinray while the fuel injection system comes from Delphi.
Suspended via standard telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, the 2018 Jawa 350 Special uses disc brakes at both the ends for braking duties. ABS is also offered. The bike weighs 171 kgs and has a 17-litre fuel tank.
Mahindra acquired 60% stake in Classic Legends Pvt Ltd, which owns BSA and has an exclusive brand license agreement with Jawa in particular countries. The homegrown automaker is expected to introduce its first bike in 2019 under the Jawa banner which is most likely to be the Jawa 350.
