The 2018 Hyundai Santro’s interior has been spied for the very first time. Here are some exclusive images.
You read it first on MotorBeam. We’re all aware that Hyundai is all set to launch new Santro (name yet to be confirmed) by this festive season. While the hatchback has been spied before umpteen number of times, this is the first time we’re getting to see its interiors. MotorBeam reader Saran Jawahar has spotted the next-generation Santro undergoing test runs in Ooty, Tamil Nadu.
The test mule was heavily camouflaged but did reveal some interesting details. Going by the spy shots, the 2018 Hyundai Santro gets large headlights and fog lamps placed just under them. The front fascia is likely to resemble the Grand i10. Moving to the sides, the vehicle runs on steel wheels and there are electric ORVMs offered as well. Coming to the interior, while the 3-spoke steering wheel with audio controls looks similar to the one on the Grand i10, the instrument cluster, however, is different. It is likely that the Santro will get a dual-tone black and beige dashboard and the power window switches will find their place behind the gear lever. The dash-mounted gear lever from the Grand i10 is likely to be carried over to the Santro as well.
The 2018 Hyundai Santro is expected to come powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine paired with both manual and AMT transmissions. The vehicle will rival the Maruti Wagoon R and Tata Tiago when launched.
