The refreshed Hyundai i20 Active gets a new dual-tone Marina Blue and Polar White paint scheme apart from the Earth Brown with Phantom Black and Polar White with Phantom Black colour options. The new paint scheme is offered only on the top end variants. Apart from the new colour, the crossover gets only a black applique on the boot lid and an ‘Active’ badging and that’s about it. The Korean carmaker has not made any other changes to the exterior.
The dashboard layout of the cabin of the 2018 Hyundai i20 Active remains more or less similar and gets very subtle tweaks. There is a larger 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on offer with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. The cabin also gets body-coloured accents on the seats and dashboard while the seat upholstery gets a new pattern. The range-topping SX variant also gets ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Mechanically, the updated i20 Active remains unchanged. It continues to draw power from a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel motor. The 1.2-litre petrol makes 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque while the 1.4-litre oil-burner churns out 90 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque. The petrol powertrain comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the diesel mill gets a 6-speed manual gearbox.
