2018 Ford Freestyle Price Starts From Rs. 5.09 Lakhs

The 2018 Ford Freestyle price starts at Rs. 5.09 lakhs, debuts a new 1.2-litre Dragon petrol engine.

The 2018 Ford Freestyle has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs. 5.09 lakhs for the base petrol variant and going all the way up to Rs. 7.89 lakhs for the top end diesel trim, both prices (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact crossover comes in a choice of six colours – Canyon Ridge, Smoke Grey, Moondust Silver, White Gold, Oxford White and Absolute Black.

In terms of styling, the Ford Freestyle does resemble the Figo to a large extent but there are visual differentiators between the two. The former gets a bold honeycomb front grille and a revised bumper with distinctive fog lamps housing. The headlights get a black treatment. There are new 15-inch alloy wheels and the ORVMs are finished in gloss black. The vehicle also gets roof rails which aren’t just for show purposes. They have a load carrying capacity of 50 kgs.

The cabin of the Ford Freestyle, though is similar to the one on the Figo, gets subtle tweaks. Most crucial of it is the addition of the 6.5-inch SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the dashboard is finished in a dual-tone brown and black colour scheme, the steering wheel, centre console and the instrument cluster have been borrowed from its hatchback cousin. Other features on offer are push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, automatic climate control, rear-view camera and 6 airbags.

The 2018 Ford Freestyle draws power from a 1.2-litre Dragon 3-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel motor. The 1.2 petrol makes 96 PS of power and 120 Nm of torque while the 1.5 oil-burner churns out 100 PS of power and 215 Nm of torque. Both the powertrains come paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
