The 2018 Ford Aspire has been spotted ahead of launch, gets floating touchscreen infotainment.
The 2018 Ford Aspire has been caught testing ahead of its launch scheduled this year. The compact sedan has its front and rear camouflaged and did reveal some details. MotorBeam reader Aneesh Chowdhury spotted the car testing near Ford’s manufacturing facility in Sanand and clicked the images for us.
Changes to the exterior come in the form of a new honeycomb grille and a revised bumper in the front fascia. The side and rear profile remain identical to the current model save for the new black alloy wheels. The car gets a floating style touchscreen infotainment system as seen in the facelifted EcoSport while the overall dashboard layout remains similar to the current model. Unfortunately, there are no spy images of the interior.
The Ford Aspire facelift will continue to be powered by the existing 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine and the new 1.2-litre Dragon series petrol motor. The 1.5-litre oil-burner produces 99 HP and 215 Nm of torque while the new 1.2-litre petrol powertrain outputs a class-leading 95 HP. The vehicle is expected to be launched in India in the coming months (after the Figo Cross/Freestyle is launched which is Ford’s next launch in India).
