Ducati has launched the Scrambler 1100 in India along with two new versions – Special and Sport.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 has been launched in India, which is priced at Rs. 10.91 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, India). The Italian bike maker has launched two more variants of the Scrambler 1100 – Special and Sport that are priced at Rs. 11.12 lakhs and Rs. 11.42 lakhs respectively.
The Scrambler 1100 is larger than its 800 sibling and comes with substantial mechanical changes to differentiate the two. The Scrambler 1100 comes with a new 1079cc, L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, air cooled engine. It produces 86 BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 88 Nm of torque at 4750 RPM.
Ducati has upgraded the front forks and rear shock absorbers for better performance and handling. The Scrambler 1100 comes with 320 mm dual front disc brakes as well. The shape of the seat has also been redesigned for better comfort of the rider and pillion.
In terms of safety, Ducati is offering Cornering ABS and Traction Control as standard. The new Scrambler 1100 also comes with three riding modes – Active, Journey and City. These modes tweak the power delivery and the level of traction control system for suitable riding conditions.
The Scrambler 1100 Special version comes with some cosmetic changes to give it a retro look. The unique elements include poked wheels, lower ‘bars, chromed exhaust headers, brown leather quilted seat and a brushed swing arm. The Sport version on the other hand comes with adjustable Öhlins suspension.
