The 2018 Dominar 400 has been spotted yet again, this time in Bright Blue shade.
Bajaj has indeed planned an entire colour rejig for the 2018 Dominar 400. The bike was spotted last month in Racing Red and an updated Matte Black (with gold-coloured alloys) and now fresh spy shots of the motorcycle in Bright Blue colour have been doing the rounds on the internet. The new shade also get gold-finished alloy wheels that actually complement the blue shade pretty well. Interestingly, the gold wheels are likely to be offered as standard on all new colour schemes of the flagship Bajaj bike.
Launched initially in three colour shades – Moon White, Twilight Plum and Midnight Blue, the white and the blue were the only colours that were well-received. Six months later, the company added a Matte Black colour which garnered good response as well. The Twilight Plum colour is likely to be discontinued as a dealership in Bhopal confirms that Bajaj has stopped shipping the particular colour to them.
Apart from the new colours, the 2018 edition also gets a black finished crankcase (it used to be gold-finished earlier). Rest all the mechanicals are expected to remain the same. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the bike comes powered by a 373.3cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor producing 35 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. The Dominar 400 is currently retailed at Rs. 1.42 lakhs for the non-ABS variant and Rs. 1.56 lakhs for the ABS variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new colour schemes could come at a premium of Rs. 500-1000/-. However, Bajaj is yet to confirm this and also officially launch the 2018 model.
