2017 Yamaha R6 revealed, it is the most aerodynamic Yamaha ever built and is scheduled to go on sale in March 2017 with three colours on offer.
The new generation 2017 Yamaha R6 has been revealed and at the first glance it looks like a baby R1. Yes, it comes with styling inspired from its elder brother and looks much more aggressive and sporty than before. Yamaha says that the new R6 is the most aerodynamic Yamaha motorcycle ever built and it’s lighter than before as well.
The new gen R6 comes with a central forced air intake up front with LED twin headlights on either side. The tail section looks sharp and is designed to offer better aerodynamics. There is a new list of electronic equipment with the R6 including Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) and Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I).
The traction control system in the R6 comes with 6 levels of selectable intervention and an option to turn it off completely. Yamaha is offering Quick Shift System as an accessory for seamless and quick gear changes offering better performance. It also comes with the Yamaha D-Mode system which lets the rider choose different riding modes.
Powering the new Yamaha R6 is a 599cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, four-cylinder engine mated to a close ratio six-speed transmission. The 2017 Yamaha R6 is offered with upside down KYB forks and KYB rear shock with full range of adjustability. The R6 now comes with ABS as standard and dual 320 mm discs. The middle-weight supersport is intended to be light, agile and fast.
