The 2017 Volkswagen Polo GT Sport TSI and TDI versions have been launched in India, priced from Rs. 9.71 lakhs.
Volkswagen has now launched the Sport versions of the Polo GT siblings and the Polo GT TSI Sport is priced at Rs. 9.71 lakhs while the Polo GT TDI Sport is priced at Rs. 9.81 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Sport trims are pricier by approximately Rs. 20,000-25,000/- compared to the regular GT trims.
The Polo GT Sport is available in two colour options – Flash Red and Candy White. There are few changes and you get a gloss black roof, black spoiler, body decals, 16-inch alloys and leatherette GT Sport embossed seats. No changes have been made to the mechanicals. The GT TSI gets a 1.2-litre engine with 105 PS and a 7-speed DSG gearbox while the GT TDI gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 110 PS and a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The 2017 Volkswagen Polo GT Sport will be available on sale for a few months initially and if the demand is good then the automaker will continue selling it later too. The Polo GT Sport will compete with the newly-launched Ford Figo Sport and the Maruti Baleno RS.
