Volkswagen is currently busy testing a number of vehicles for its assault on the Indian automotive market by next year with some facelifts and some completely new models.
The troika of Volkswagen sedans, namely the Vento, the Jetta and the Passat are collectively responsible for the image of the German brand, due to their exceptional build quality and high safety. The automaker is now looking to update its product line-up and hence the company is testing the new Passat and an updated version of the Vento.
2017 Volkswagen Passat
The 2017 Volkswagen Passat has been spied testing by MotorBeam reader Kevin Kurian on the Pune-Lonavala highway. The vehicle was first shown at the 2016 Auto Expo and received a lot of attention. The car was spotted with daytime-running lights and the Volkswagen corporate face with three-slats chrome grille. The car is slated to launch for next year second quarter in India. The new 2017 Volkswagen Passat will compete against the Skoda Superb and the Audi A3 in terms of pricing.

Volkswagen loves to keep updating and re-shuffling features and variants of its Vento sedan without telling anybody! But the latest round of scoop indicates that Volkswagen has something bright and clear for the fans of Vento to make it more sporty, classy and beautiful than it already is.
